Any one expecting foals this year?

I know it's kinda early, but is anyone expecting any foals? My fave thing to do on weekends is to go to marestare and watch all the foals.

Nope, they are a little hard to push out w/ all four legs you know. ha ha ha!! Sorry, couldn't resist.

I do miss being around little 4 legged babies though. Nothing beats a newborn puppy, calf or foal (never got too see newborn kittens, the barn cats always hid them well but we'd go looking for them!). We breed beagles for a while in the 80's & 90's and as I got older I was the one to sit in on the births to make sure everything went well. Made for some interesting comments the next day at school as I was still shaking shavings out of the school books.

When I was really little dad used to let us watch at the horse farm and even got to go in and wipe down a few of the foals. Even though I was only 4 or 5 at the time I still remember it. And the whole thing still amazes me. Those first nickers between mare and the foal, nothing beats it.

Oh - actually yes I am expecting a foal this year. I ordered one of the Elizabeth resins and hopefully I'll get her this year! It's been a long wait, kinda' like a real birth.
