Kate's Windrush Winter Warm-up

So, who is attending Kate's show at her home on January 23rd? I'm very much looking forward to starting the 2010 show season nice and early! Many thanks to Kate for hosting this show and for donating funds to Windrush!

I am really looking forward to this show so I can show off a few of my newly painted resins and especially because it will be a low key, no-stress show!

I'm excited! Its right in my back yard and I'm super excited to have a show in the middle of winter. It will sure make these long dark days go faster!

It's going to be a bit of a ride for me but I am planning to be there. It will be my first time showing. Probably not the wisest to start out with customs as I having only really started doing any but what the heck. You never know till you try right!! And I know you guys will be helpful in pointing out things I did right and things I did wrong (expecting a lot more of the wrongs) but that's how I learn. And I can't wait to see Kate's collection

I don't think I can make it to that one. I had limited baby sitters before but I think my mom has really quit now. My mother and father in-law can't handle Travis for a full day so I don't know what my show season is going to be like. I hope I won't miss everything

I'm undecided (though I know I need to DECIDE soon!) I work late on Friday, so going out that night would make more sense, provided the weather isn't being horrible. Is everyone driving int hat morning or does anyone want to split a hotel room?

I posted to this before but my post went missing...Hmmm...Don't know what I did wrong!

Anyway! What I wanted to say was thanks very much for the compliments. I too am very excited about the show and I am hoping that we have already HAD all the snow planned for January! We still have openings, so if you are on the fence and can decide soon, there should still be room. The entry deadline is 1/10.

BTW, I just got the NAN cards and there are OODLES of them-- it is a lot of classes for a small halter show!

I am looking forward to judging in the AO division and it sounds like we have a few people already planning to compete in AO, which is fabulous!

I can't wait to see the AO classes, I think they are really important classes and really fun classes!

I really enjoyed showing in AO while I was able to. It was nice to get a chance to talk to other non-professional artists about how you used a medium to get a certain affect and also watch over the years as the AO competitors got better and better with more and more practice.

I'd like to go just to hang out (and see the vault!) but I might be working that day. I keep neglecting to check my calendar but I think I am. Have to pick up all the OT I can, especially since two of my three boys are costing me a fortune lately! Didn't expect two of them to go downhill at the same time.

Just an update to report! WWW is now closed for entries! Thanks for all your interest and I hope that Region X will come out to future shows at our house too-- like those planned along with a summer pool party!

Stacy kept telling me to come here and post, and I kept forgetting...

Kate, we had a great time at the show. I could tell that Stacy enjoyed having an opportunity to walk around in her horsey slippers.

It was my first "showing" experience; I've put horses down for Stacy before, but I've never been in charge of actually having them down. I appreciated that you guys made sure that everyone heard what class was going up when, and where exactly to place the horses. That made everything really easy for me. Everything moved quickly too, and I didn't experience the fatigue that we normally get when we're at the show. I couldn't believe that it was night by the time night rolled around!

And your house is beautiful! I have to admit that I was surprised when we went up three floors to see your horse showcase, not thinking that it was as big as it was. And spacious too!

It was a great time all around. Thanks for letting us into your home!
